What is a Side Quest?

A side quest is a secondary objective in a journey, often diverging from the main narrative or goal. It’s a term that originated in gaming but has transcended into broader cultural use, representing any optional endeavor undertaken alongside a primary purpose. Side quests are typically characterized by their ability to add depth, excitement, and variety to an experience, offering participants the opportunity to explore uncharted territory, uncover hidden gems, or gain new perspectives that enrich the overall journey.

Pick the Perfect Site
Selecting a site can be quite complicated. We have to ensure we can legally collect data at the site and prepare to go on site.
Gathering Our Wits
We do all the planning needed to have a successful quest. Confirming weather, checking other locations in the area worth scanning, packing our bags...it all takes time.
Fly the Drone
We put our drone in the air as soon as we are on scene. It will fly an automated route while we prepare for ground scanning.
Walk the Site
We will walk the site multiple times. First with a DSLR to collect high resolution photography. Second, we walk the site with the imaging system.
Deliver the Goods
All good side quests must come to an end. We have to prepare the 3D models, photos, videos and other content.
